Hey Jeanne, this is for you :-)

As requested by Jeanne, I am posting this entry about our food trip along Miranda Street while waiting for the rain to subside Wednesday night. I was at first hesitant to  blog about it when she asked me to do so. Hmmm. On the afterthought, we enjoyed the grilled hotdog and the isaw, so I am convinced that this experience deserves to be written and told.

The heavy rain was a great relief from the warm weather though it caused us some delay in going back home. After the lesson, we stayed awhile for some fellowship because we were still waiting for the rains to subside. I was occasionally looking outside to check whether we can venture out even without an umbrella, but had doubts when I saw the thick drizzle and the pool of rainwater in the area. I never like the idea of soaking my feet on rainwaters, so we stayed on for a little while until the pool of rainwater dried up a bit.

The original idea was to board a jeep bound Checkpoint  and from there we would take another ride to Dau.  But it took us long in waiting, so we decided to instead ride a jeep plying market route where we could also get transport to Dau-Mabalacat.

From the church venue  we moved to the other corner of the street to wait for a jeep bound market. There was still light drizzle and  we tried to squeeze in a nearby shed to protect us from the rain while waiting. From where we are, we caught a small griller stand infront of a local guitar shop just a few steps from us. We saw hotdogs on sticks being grilled. So what happens when hungry individuals caught such a sight? The answer is clear: Hungry individuals are more likely tempted to go and buy some and satisfy their craving!

Miranda Street that rainy night

What happens next was that we found ourselves ordering some hotdogs and isaw ehehe. We were watching ate while grilling our order for us. Our eyes brightened when she finished grilling our order and handed them to us. Ang sarap! Little did we know we were ordering for some more! When Tholits and JC passed by, we invited them to join. And they did! Sayang, alang softdrinks sina ate. The grilled hotdog and isaw seemed to taste better with a cold bottle of Royal Tru Orange that night lol!

Below is a tally of our food consumption  that night haha:

    Jeanne               -   2 pcs. hotdog, 3 isaw
Myra (me)         -   1 hotdog, 3 isaw (thanks to JC for the 1 isaw treat haha)
    Shay                  -   1 hotdog, 3 isaw
Tholits & JC    -   Sorry, I did not keep a track of the number of sticks they      consumed ehe

The smoke from the griller :-)

So Jeanne, hope you enjoyed reading this blog in the same way you enjoyed the grilled isaw and hotdog on stick. Till next time!
